No they are not. The 06+ has an extra tooth and the sensor is different. Where did you get this wrong information from?

Now it is the same for all 00-05 motors. But the 06+ motors and ECU are very different.

i apologize i may have jumped the gun. i just put in an 08 f22 into my Ap1 and didnt change the crank pulse plate. i did change the sensor and i did use the ap1 valve cover, sensors and cam pulse plates though. Car starts on my original ap1 ecu (no codes), and an AEM plugin ecu as well...hell i just tuned the car almost nicely. there are a few things that indicate i have something weird going on with timing though and maybe this is it.

will be pulling off the cover i guess and making sure, i will post pics that show whatever i find as soon as i can...
