Do what UtahS2K suggested. What you describe would be more in keeping with a clutch fluid issue if everything was HOT. But since you see that the fluid is black, it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea to change it at this point. It may not solve your problem (if indeed it is a problem) but it's a fairly easy thing to do and it won't hurt.
If you want to try it yourself, look here:

hey utah s2k, you are right man... but instead of going to the diamond bar honda, i went to my friends dad, who is a mechanic, and have the trans oil, clutch fluid and engine oil changed at one time. i paid only $15 + i brought my own neccesary fluid of course. its a good deal. and everything is fine now. PERFECT....

oya, one more thing, my clutch fluid was BLACK... theres even a sticky residue in it. disgusting, but had it changed so its fine, most probably thats the cause.
so swtazn97, you might want to try checking on your clutch fluid!
good luck and thanks guys.

ah yes, the clutch fluid. I am starting to think some of these tranny problems are actually because of the clutch fluid instead where there isn't enough pressure to release and have drag.
I had a 1st -2nd grind where shifting into 2nd is always a challenge. After changing the clutch fluid, my 1st to 2nd shift is back to being like new again.
My clutch fluid was BLACK, with solid residue and solid particulates. I am guessing the clutch fluid from the factory isn't very durable. I only had my car for 15 months.
