Default 1st gear and reverse gear got stuck....

especially when the engine temp is still cool, the 1st and reverse gear is hard to get in, it need a little kick to get in. but when the temp goes up, it gets easier, but still kindda hard.
is it time hor clutch fluid drain?

1st gear stuck like it won't engage?
supposively a common problem with japanese cars in general.
give it a little gas and you should be fine.
the tranny needs to warm up just like the engine.

Tri putting it in 4th gear first before you put it in reverse/1st gear. It should make it easier to go in that way and would be a lot better than giving it a "little kick" to force it in.

No it is not normal!
You live moments away from a fine S2000 dealer in Diamond Bar Honda (I lived in San Dimas for years). Sounds to me like you tranny fluid is low or the wrong stuff. You failed to mention if the car was bought used or what year the car is? Talk to the service manager and let him know you are a member here.........you would just like a quick check of the fluid level....in return you will post what great service you got from DIAMOND BAR HONDA!

Ecnay: I'm not sure if it's normal thing or not because i experience that sort of thing from time to time. If you can get it fixed then that would be a good thing to do which should be covered by warrenty.

Also, sometimes when i drive, shifting is not so smooth. It feels like it's "notchy," if that's how you can describe it. I need more info on this so i can talk to the dealership about getting it warrentied.

yea, thats it. notchy. but when in full stop, it doesnt even get in till you push it hard.
i just checked it this afternoon, the clutch fluid(dot 3 or 4) is black color, i think its time to have it changed.
