1st gear out of whack?

I've purchased my 05 AP2 (currently with only 35k) for about 7 months now. Carfax with clean title and one previous owner. Seem to be driving great for the first three months with absolutely no problems. Now the problem is; every once in a while, during a complete stop while on the clutch, I placed my gear in first, set to go and then thump! The gear popped back into neutral all the sudden. That felt like my first gear was shot because of the thumping noise. After that the car drives fine with no noise whatsoever. Therefore, I have been very observance with my 1st gear start from a stop to try to avoid that to happen again.
This had occurred for I think over 5 times since I had this car. This is my 4th manual car since 2001. I've never had this experience with my previous manual cars. Can anybody elaborate on this problem?
BTW, my car is completely stock...

Change the transmission fluid. It's as easy as changing the engine oil. Someone can chime in with the exact reason the synchros are not being lubricated properly.
Consider a different fluid brand. I personally use Synchromesh after the Honda MTF started causing 5th gear popouts.

Yep,have an '04.I did that a couple of times, now I just make sure it's all the way in 1st and it hasn't pop out since.I was being a lil to gently with it and already had brand new motul tranny fluid.I think all the other gears are a lil easier to engauge and it just throws you off cuss first gear takes slightly more effort.
