Sorry to revive a dead topic, but my S2k was hibernating for the winter and I finally had a chance to work on it. I changed the manual transmission fluid and used the Honda MTF II fluid. The fluid that was already in the transmission appeared quite clean with no metal shavings at all. It was definitely not automatic transmission fluid, so at least the local dealership got that correct. At the same time, I also bled the clutch again and used the ATE brake fluid. Finally, I also changed the engine oil even though I had only put 250-300 miles on the car since last year.
Took the car for a spin and didn't feel any grinding from 1st to 2nd shifts even when the engine was cold. Not sure whether it was the clutch bleed (which I already did once before, but didn't seem to help) or the MTF change. Regardless, it's much nicer to drive.
