Personally, I would not trust a hardware store bolt for this critical location. I would also be surprised to find a bolt like this at a hardware store. The non thread shank portion and flange is critical to this component. Glad you got it at a dealer.

I agree, I would use it in a pinch and order the correct bolt (or strength bolt)
