Default 175-176 F water temperature, 70C oil temp

hi guys i just got my j's racing thermostat, j;s racing thermoswitch and j' s racing radiator cap installed togehter with my greddy oil cooler. i tried driving it last nyt for about 100kms but the thing is my water temp only reads 174F- 176F sometimes 180F but most of the times 175F and my oil temp is reading consistent 70C my question is that is it normal or is it too cold?? knowing that the normal operating water temp is 180f-185f. i can see the readings tru my defi gauges..... i didnt try going on vtec since i think the engine is not yet on normal operating temp.... my other question is that is it ok too go over vtec up to redline with 175-176F of water temp and 70c oiltemp??? what is the normal operating oiltemp??? is 70c too low or is it normal?? thanks so much guys!

The 70C oil temp sounds perfect to me. When I used to fly P-3's in the Navy, the normal operating temp for the turbo prop engine oil (synthetic) was 60-90C. 90-100C we were limited to 30 minutes operation. 100C+ was a 5 minute limit.

70C is 158F. That's a pretty good temp I think.

Yes, those temperatures are fine. But why did you get one gauge that reads in Fahrenheit and the other in Celsius units?
