There is no good in this for anyone but corns growers and the pols that service them.

Less energy, more corrosive, harder on the environment, a big burden on tax payers. This is another dishonest farce forced on us by government.

I will make every effort to avoid it.

Remember, it's a big difference between "allowing " E15 to be sold and "requiring" it. Even in a state like South Dakota, a gas station that wholly converted to E15 would have to compete with stations offering the more widely-compatible E10. The gasoline blendstock used to make E15 is different then that to make E10 (both in octane and in RVP), and many of the underground storage tanks at gas stations are not certified for >10% ethanol. So methinks converting the supply chain to enable an E15 mandate is still a ways off.

most people dont actually know that higher octane means less power. ethanol i believe is 94-96 octane. it does burn alot colder and will let you safely bump timing or boost
According to Wikipedia, the pump octane number for ethanol is 122

This is supposed to reduce dependency on oil, but the E85 mandate in my state reduced my gas milage by 17%, I'm actually using MORE oil. Politicians... fack.

Yes, but only 65% of the energy content.
