I used to be an Asst. Manager at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Our worst service was the transmission flush; we had more problems with that service than any other. That type of service only flushes the fluid, and most auto trannys have a filter below the valve body. The flush service does not include changing the filter, it usually just flushes gunk out of the filter and clogs the tracks in the vlave body. I think while I worked at VIOC (11 mos.), four cars were "damaged" from that service.

Regardless, our transmissions are serviced with a drain and fill procedure. The fluid will probably cost between $9 and $13. Good luck!

Well, it will cost you about $30 to do it yourself, or $150 to have someone else do it... you pick! Its ridiculously easy to do it yourself with the FAQ's provided on this site, and it would probably take you about 20 mins at most.
I would rather do it myself but like I said I'm really busy... by the time i get home to relax its 10-11pm... I'm guessing go with the Honda MTF over the Mobil1 stuff right? Seems some people have liked the Mobil1 stuff more on the site...

It'll cost about $15 to do it yourself including two bottles of Honda MTF and a couple crush washers.

Not sure how much it'll cost for a dealer to do it, never asked. However, $150 would be outrageous.

A flush is not needed on a MT.

If you don't have time to do it yourself, I wouldn't pay any more than $15-30 above the cost of the oil. I'd still use the OEM Honda MTF, although many here also like the GM Synchromesh.
