10w30 mobil 1 in TSX?

Default 10w30 mobil 1 in TSX?

Is it ok to use 10w30 Mobil 1 on my 2006 TSX even though the oil cap says 5w20? I want use some of the oil I bought for my S2k =).

Location is SoCal.

You can use anything you want to use. Water, sand... It' really up to you.

I would just go out and buy what the cap/manual says. But that's just me.

5w-30 will work fine. You may lose some fuel economy but I doubt it would be significant enough for you to notice.

Mobil 1 10w30 probably has similar or better cold flow to a dino 5w20. Plus, 30w often shears to a 20w by the time you drain it. You should be totally fine.

The 20W is all for increase gas mileage. Who knows if the car was designed for 30 or 20.. If in JDMland they dont need to have high gas mileage, it might still be designed for the 30W

Yes, that is all I used except Amsoil 10w30 on the 06 I had.

I believe Acura went to 20 weight to pick up a little more on the MPG. You can run 30 weight, it will provide an added amount of protection but you'll suffer slightly on the miles. I see no harm in it.
