Default 08 s2k Clutch slippin 9k miles?

I only had this MY08 for only 3k miles, 9k miles on it total
when I rev it hard between shift especially from 1st to 2nd it takes second to grab on
(vsa might not have been turned off don't remember)

Also when I rev it than drop the clutch in first, smells like burning clutch once I stopped for a second I know it will smell but not this strong (vsa was off)
Is my clutch giving out or is it the tranny made this way on the 08.

It is probably your CDV (clutch delay valve) trying to save what it can from your drivetrain abuse

yea just dont slam gears like a maniac. you can still shift quickly without the clutch slipping. but when i try to slam gears the cdv is doing its job and slips the clutch to prevent shock on the drivetrain mainly the Differential

Its not the CDV. Its the weak OEM pressure plate - it doesn't provide enough force to clamp down the clutch friction disk and flywheel, so you get slippage at high rpms. Live with it by shifting slower or replace the pp with an aftermarket unit like an ACT pp.

CDV is not the cause.

When my stock clutch starts to go i will probably go with the AP1 flywheel, ACT clutch and PP that seems to be like a good combination.

yea, this car doesnt have that much torque to throw you sideways, at least from what I've tried....not that I drive like a maniac or anything, I've only launched semi hard once.

Well, you are assuming since you only have 9k total, which 3k miles were puton by you, how do you know for the 6k miles of it's life it wasn't beat on?

for the clutch to slip this early gives a pretty strong tale of the previous ownership treatment...
