Well the problem is i bent a few valves on my old head due to mis-shift over-rev... so the head is done for. do you think when bending a few valves in my head... would score my cylinder walls at all?

i bent all the intake valves in my h22 motor from a misshift. i pulled the head, replaced all the valves, reinstalled the head and bam good to go. if thats all that happened, then just fix the valves.

send your head out and have them pressure test it and what not.. once the head checks out.. just replace all that is needed.. throw it back on the car.. your good too go

RSX over reved and bent a few valves.. we just removed the head and got it checked out and replaced the valves.. also order a overhaul kit since it will have all the new gaskets and what not needed for the repairs

I seriously doubt it also. I've bent many valves in my DSM, but everything else was fine. Unless you ran it like that for a long perios of time then I'm sure you're fine.

You could always pull the block and have a trusted machine shop check it for you incase you have any nicks.
