Well the problem is i bent a few valves on my old head due to mis-shift over-rev... so the head is done for. do you think when bending a few valves in my head... would score my cylinder walls at all?

RSX over reved and bent a few valves.. we just removed the head and got it checked out and replaced the valves.. also order a overhaul kit since it will have all the new gaskets and what not needed for the repairs

I seriously doubt it also. I've bent many valves in my DSM, but everything else was fine. Unless you ran it like that for a long perios of time then I'm sure you're fine.
You could always pull the block and have a trusted machine shop check it for you incase you have any nicks.
