06 voltage problem?

As observed in an earlier post, if everything is flickering it could be the alternator (actually the voltage regulator built into the alternator) but if only the gauges are flickering, then it's a bad ground. Turn on your dome light - does it flicker just the same as the cluster?

Flickering dash is due to a bad rectifier inside the alternator. Car will charge as normal.
Dash is sensitive to this. not the dome light or any other light in the car. It's not a loose connection.
Change the rectifier and your dash will be fine.
