Any way you can post a picture that shows all these for us newbies?

Also forgot to mention the lack of cruise control module since the throttle can be controlled 100% by wire.

sorry I don’t own a 06+ otherwise I’d snap some pics for you. Just google an 06 engine bay and compare it to yours. The 06+ bay looks a lot cleaner due to the missing and simpler components.

Thanks for not being an a$$ in your reply. There are certain S2k owners (members here on s2ki) who think they're all that.

I didn't know the valve cover and IAT sensor will be different between DBW and non-DBW cars. I thought they'd be the same for all years. I know about the cruise control and throttle body but that's it.

Useless thread without pictures.

One clear underhood picture will explain all.

Hell yeah man. This is, "you dont mess with DBW".

Off note...did you see how mad the OP got at us? "CERTAIN OWNERS...", he says..."act like they're all that".

No problem At first i read that as you calling me an a$$ and i was going to be like WHAT??!! but then i reread it haha.

Yes the valve cover is actually different between 00-03, 04-05, 06-09, however 00-05 are interchangeable with each other (the only difference being the PCV connection). Non-DBW cars don't have an IAT sensor (this is the sensor that plugs into the intake arm).

DBW intake arm with IAT circled (notice no air pump hoses coming off the right side of the arm):

AP1 engine bay. Notice no IAT sensor, there is a air pump hose coming off the right side of the intake, there is a fuel pulsation damper on the fuel rail/return line (the mushroom looking thing), there's cruise control module. Where the IAT sensor is in DBW cars, here there is a Purge Control Solenoid Valve mounted to the intake box (it does not go into the intake arm or box though) that connects to the vacuum tank which i believe it's air pump related.

DBW engines have only one (1) nipple on top of the intake manifold. Non DBW engines have four (4) for various hoses and sensors. These are quickly spotted followed by the throttle body controls and the lack of the cruise control module and cable in the DBW cars.

But we're still no closer to helping the OP ...
