Alright, sorry man, but had to do some digging. Found some pics on his FB page. Car had red/black 04-05 seats, AP2V1s and no speakers in the headrest. The paint looks too good to be a repaint so I'm going to bet that someone wrecked an 04-05 and then swapped everything to an 06 LBP shell, would have a 2006 title and VIN that way.

There are tons of differences in the engine bay. Throttle body of course, returnless fuel system (fuel rail is different), injector cover is different, Valve Cover is different, no air pump, IAT sensor on intake arm, engine wiring harness is different since it has a completely different ECU (plugs are not interchangeable between the ECUs),
