I contacted Fujita to see if they are planning on creating a intake to fit the 06 S2k. Here is what was said;

Hello,

Do you have any plans to create a Cold Air Intake for the 2006 Honda S2000? If so could you please tell me when it will/should be released, along with price?

Thank You in advance

Justin King

Has it been test fited? The 06 S2000's have an extra intake sensor that non of the previous model s2000's have. Comptech has one in the makings Injen and AEM do not yet offer one. According to all of those companies a different design is a must. Same with the 06 S2000 exhaust system. there is an extra bend now.

I just want to make sure before I purchase something that it is guarenteed to fit, at the same time I don't want to waste my time if it does not fit.

Thank You
J. King

We sent the intake to Criswell Honda to have it test fitted and it fits on the 06 and the 07 model years.

Does anyone know if it does or does not work?

Thanks in advance

I dunno...I'm a pessimist so I don't believe him.
It just sounds fishy since he didn't specifically refer to your areas of concern, ie. extra sensor.

I'm not convinced yet

If he says the same intake that fits a pre-06 will fit a 06+...then he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Guys, have you actually looked at an 06?

There are exactly 2 differences:

- There is a temp sensor in the intake tube that would need to be mounted.
- There is no air pump.

other than that, they are identical to the previous cars. If you can find somewhere to mount the temp sensor, (drill a hole and put in a tight fitting grommet) and something to block off the port of the air pump (hose cap from the auto parts store) there is absolutely no reason that any intake won't fit the 06, except for those that use the factory air box mounts (which the Fujita and others similar) do not.

Very true, However if I am going to be paying anywhere from 200-1000+ for an intake the last thing I am planning on doing is drilling a hole in it for the temp sensor. I expect it to come "bolt-on"
