05 Tranny in an 01 S2000? Please Help

Most aftermarket FD's do not have the revised spring design of the new OEM so they buzz as bad as the originals.

All the Competition Clutches units I have put in have really bad decel buzz.

I have never once gotten a decel buzz when using an OEM disc.

If you use an 05 trans, your speedo will read a few mph off. In your favor, you'll get less tickets

Billman ,you have confirmed the speedo being off???Mine seems to be the same as before.I verified against my wifes car and the local police departments radar billboard.I suppose it could be off by maybe 1 to 2 mph.

Of course, it's definitely off from what it was. The speed reading is taken before the final reduction, which is different in the two trans.

If it was taken from the output shaft (driveshaft speed) nothing would change.

I think im just going to get a 2003 tranny, that will be a direct bolt on wont it?

00-03 transmissions are the same. No changes will need to be made.
