Default '04 exhaust tips on '01 S2k?

After seeing the stock '04 today in person I was impressed with how the stock exhaust looks with its oval tips. They appear to be a simple "screw on" type tip to the existing stock exhaust. I'm not sure there are any exhaust changes for '04 other than the "cosmetic" upgrade IMO.

Do you think the new tips will fit on a '01 rear bumper w/o rubbing or heat problems?

I believe those oval tips are a simple slip on/bolt on. The tip they slip over should be the same diameter and length on all years of cars. Contact the HardTopGuy (Jeff) for the best prices and for confirmation of fit. I think he has actually tried them on an older car. As for the rubbing, I think there is even a pic posted somewhere here with a car with one oval tip and one round tip. I can't remember if the car was an '04 or not. Search Jeff's user name. It was in one of his threads.

Yup. Jedraz bought some, but he is selling them because he likes the smaller ones better. Price for 2 is about $104. I saw a red '04 at the auto show tonight. Looks good, but the tips need the more aggressive rear of the '04.

Here is a picture on my 02. They are a direct bolt on replacement.
I bought mine from HardTopGuy. There is no problem with rubbing.

Thanks guys! I've pm'd HardTopGuy about all of this and hope to have something soon. I'm currently running an Invidia but considering my car is a daily it's just too much for me especially when I'm trying to conduct business on the cell. A local is going to buy the Invidia and give me his OEM. From there I'll put on the ovals and get the look I want. I'll still have my PRM CAI to kick in a good growl at Vtec so I should be a happy camper. Especially after getting this done and having the Top Secret front bumper, Comptech Side Skirts, and eye lids installed. So, hopefully in about 3-4 weeks I'll have some really wicked pics of the beast!

Here are some relatively recent pics of how my car looks right now.

pas2knut - the tips look good in your picture. Are you pleased with the look in person? Are these tips any longer then the round ones? I'm curious if they stick out more or less than the round version. Any pics from the side?
