'03 Slave Cylinder Swap...Questions?
I just finished swapping a new '03 slave cylinder (from Hardtop Guy) onto my MY05.
The car is running great....no slipping clutch now with high speed gear changes now. (I almost got killed passing an 18 wheeler on a 2 lane when the **&&^% delay valve decided to let my clutch burn and spin free)
Anyway, I have a couple of questions for those who have made the cylinder swap:
1.) Does the clutch have a lower engagement point now on your car?
I bled that clutch a zillion times until my wife had charlie horses in her calf, but it still engages about 2 inches just off the floor.
2.) When attaching the '05 hose to the '03 cylinder were you able to seat the flange extension from the end of the hose into the '03 cylinder groove?
I couldn't do it without bending the extension....so I just seated it to the right of the groove and snugged it down good. Is that okay?
Anyway....I think the clutch delay on the '04 and up is dangerous in certain situations. I'm just glad I was able to read about how to correct the problem on this board.

You have air in it. Engagement point will not change. It has to be gravity bled, unbolted from the trans.
You're supposed to cut the extension tang to fit the cyl. As long as the hose is not chaffing on anything you're ok.
