Default 02 Yellow Spa S2K won't start

I have a 2002 Honda S2000. I was due for an oil change and took my car in, as usual they did an oil change. I noticed the day before a pigeon like noise from the engine
however when the car warmed up the noise went away however I noticed decreased power and this weird noise from the engine, like a soft knock type. After 25 min of the oil
change my car just stopped. It's not turning over, I towed it home and started the car, it turned over the next day but only for 5 seconds then it just locked up again. A friend of mine told me the oil pump has gone bad. Will a car start with a bad oil pump? There was always oil in the engine and I never had this problem before. Now I'm not sure what the actual problem is. Any ideas? New oil pump? New engine?

Yea, 6 qz. Topped off. Sat back in the car, drove it for 25 minutes (noticed there was no power still, the noise was still there) then the car stopped. There's still the fresh oil in the car that I just changed. Makes no sense at all. If anyone can help with ideas or inputs I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm wondering if they started it without oil, realized their mistake, then added oil.

If this happened immediately after an oil change its the only explanation. Unless you ran it low the day before (Pigeon noise). Can you confirm the oil level was correct before the oil change?

An S2000 will spin a bearing very quickly without oil pressure.

You'll have to go into that pigeon noise a bit more. I don't think people are getting your reference.

I hope you called the shop immediately after your car broke down and at least notified them. If you haven't, do so.

I did notify them but they told me all they did was replace the oil in which I saw them do so, then measure it and hand me back my keys. Started the car perfectly and drove home in which I didn't make it. . I'm not sure if there was low oil in the car the day before or not, but the oil light never came on however I did notice the loss in power and that whoozing noise upon starting the car 2 days before it happened.

That's definitely not good. You might be in for a new motor.

Tell me about it. I had it towed to a mechanic today in the morning and he says he'd rather rebuild the motor than for me to get a new one, quoted me $4000.00 on it. Shall I rebuild it or shall I get a new motor? First mechanic I took it to, what shall I do? Or maybe he's just f@#king with me and going to replace the rod and charge me 4k on it. God this sucks balls, I feel handicapped without my S2.
