Default '02 Tail light woe

The back up clear lense popped out and is loose in the housing.






I see some pegs that make it look like the outer clear lense comes off. Is that so or how would you reinsert the back up lense into it's proper location.

From what I've read in previous threads, that would be the only way. However, taking off the outer lens is very difficult and people often break/crack the lens in attempting to remove them. You need to apply heat to the sealant holding the lens to the housing, it doesn't just pop off from those tabs. People usually do this by baking the housing in the oven. There are several threads about removing the lens if you try the search function.

Someone else may have some more helpful information, but I believe it's very difficult. Much more so than taking apart the front headlight housings.

No its under recall. Take it to HONDA. This happend to me 2 years ago and my cars a 2000 and not under warranty.

WRONG.


02 taillights were not recalled for fading. 00-01's were, they are different.
