02 sensor or replace header?
I got quoted for 340 dollars to get my 02 sensor fixed. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I can buy a used header (or megan header) and place an 02 simulator (or whatever its called) at around the same price range, right? I know I can buy a pepboys universal 02 sensor for 60 bucks....What would you guys do?

or with the header option.

you dont even need to get a universal one you can get a direct fit.

You can't use a simulator for the pre-cat O2 sensor. That's the one that tells the computer how to tune the mixture. That one's absolutely required if you run a factory ECU.
That's a ridiculous price to install it though.

Yeah I did mine too. I would say go for it, because it gives you an oppurtunity to start doing your own maintenance and learning your car. Plus you dont have to pay a mechanic 60 bucks an hour.
[Side Note]I had no mechanic abbilitty before the S, then I made a decision to start doing all of my own work (for the most part) and it has been a really good learning experience, and now I enjoy it.

Most of the timer's there's NOTHING wrong with the O2 sensor. It's one of the most commonly replaced parts on the car even though there's nothing wrong with them.
O2 sensor code doesn't mean bad O2 sensor. There are potentially 50 other causes of an O2 sensor code. Unless you've screwed them up, they're normally good for 50-80K miles.
