alright, thanks...

i'm only using this method as a temporary fix until I'm ready to purchase a whole new top with glass.

Here is a link to my old post. I had a sale pending but the previous buyer has not responded to my last PM. I am back in town so you can disregard my last reply in the post. PM me a offer and any questions you might have.Plastic Window

does anyone know if insurance would cover this type of thing under comprehensive? mine just cracked in two places on thanksgiving weekend. i have been too affraid to lower the roof since then. if insurance would help cover any of it i would probably upgrade to a glass top.

if you say somebody smashed your window, you would have to pay for your deductable.

i think my comprehensive has 0 deductible. i remember when i got my wheels stolen a little over a year ago that i got reimbursed for every cent that came out of my pocket.

i need to look into it more though. even if you have to pay a deductable (assuming its roughly a $500 deductible), it is still cheaper than paying for a new top + labor isnt it?

yeah, I got a quote from honda to just change the plastic window:

$225 for window + $700 for labor.

its cheaper to just buy a new top with glass.. i think guys have been posting that theres a group buy on them for about 600.

That is actually a realistic price to do the job. In dealer terms, not bad.
