Default 00 S2000 71k reading P1399,P0300,P0301,P0302,P0303,P0304,P0420

Well I recently found out that the person before me took the check engine light out of the dash board. I hooked up my code scanner to the car and found these codes P1399 (trips first time a misfire is seen and is pending till another set off a code) P0300 (multiple misfire) P0301 (cly1 misfire) P0302 (cly2 misfire) P0303 (cly3 misfire) P0304 (Cly4 misfire) P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank1)). I reset the codes and my odometer, at 12 miles it set off the p1399 code, at 18 miles set off P1399, P0300, P0302, and P0304 that’s as far as I got so far. Haven’t done anything to the engine yet except AEM Cold Air intake, DC Sports Header, Test pipe, RSS Concept cat back exhaust. Did Take off valve cover to powder coat, while that was off adjusted valves, new factory recommended NGK Iridium spark plugs. Before I reset the codes engine ran fine idle at 1,000 rpms, after I cleared the codes engine runs crappy trying to stall every time I come to a stop and Idles at 600 or less rpms. It seems like the codes appeared at idle when stalling out or at least trying to. I called my service writer friend at the Honda dealer to ask about injector cleaning and flow test. He said they could do it but since I’m bringing my 06 Odyssey in for a timing belt change since it about that time on Wednesday (witch includes timing belt, water pump, seals, idler pulleys, tensioner, coolant exchange, drive belt for only 499.99) My buddy at the dealership called me today and since they are giving me a loaner car for the day while my van is in the shop he said that I could bring my S in for a diagnostic for no charge at all but I would like to get the compression test, leak down test, and new gasket and filter kit for the injectors before I bring it in there. He says that he thinks that the valves are damaged from over revving. I hope not. If you have any thoughts on this since you work a lot with the S please let me know thanks.

get a compression test done, has the car ever been over revved? or miss shifted? its possible that you have some bent valves

I dont know if the car has been over revved before I owned it but I bought it with 71K and the carfax says 7 owners before me, and the check engine bulb has been removed. I Never had a miss shift, I do autocross it with the SCCA and held the engine at 9k on various occasions brought it up into the red a couple of times was I was getting used to it, also added a Competition Clutch Stage 4 Clutch kit with a 6 puck disc and a lighter 9.4lb flywheel.

With 7 owners...I'm pretty sure you got some bent valves.

I hear you brother, I was stupid, found the car on C.A.R.S.com at a dealership while in Iraq. It looked clean, I was so busy over there that I had my wife handle the buying process, I ordered everything that I wanted for the car. I came home and altough the car was clean I wasn't to happy with the purchase I did want a 00 with low miles but I am starting to think that there is more than meets the eye LOL. I know the milege is correct because the Honda dealer can pull up corresponding milege reports, and the carfax dose not show an accident. But I feel like this car has been in a accident and probly rebuilt by some shop. I know that the front bumper paint is cracking like crazy and they had overspray on the front hood gasket. But I am trying to make the best of it. I still love that car. all in due time right. Thanks for the replies. just to add I also know that car has been though 7 or 8 states. I was dissapointed you know.

How can I get a cartoon pic of my AP1

I also just want to rant:

I hate everything chipping the paint on my car, or the fact that I cant leave it in a parking lot to long without going into a panick attack,LOL. When I'm at a cashier I just want to be like hurry the F up I need to get outside to my baby or choke her out and just leave. I also hate how everyone has to try and race you everywhere you go especially mustangs, corvettes, camaro, and sometimes Scion's ROFLMAO!! come one guys seriously why do they even bother LOL,

Check coil packs, injectors since you have already done plugs. Hopefully you can find a local person to swap with you .

If none of that, probably valves/head. Do a valve adjustment before messing with head.

do a compression test first. If all is well, then u r in luck n it should be an easy fix from there. If not then u r in trouble. You'll have to do a leakdown test on the cylinder w/ the low compression readings to find out what really went wrong. That's where the nightmare begans.
