Can you list everything you have done to the car, in the order is was done. if you can, list what the prior owner(s) have done, maybe just maybe I can come up with a few ideas.

If you want to haul the car up to a shop in Houston, I know one that can fix it. They service 100s of local S2000.

also i really have no idea wat the previous owner has done just wat i mentioned.. i rebuilt the engine, and changed a couple of other things but never messed around with the head other than taking it to a machine shop to put the valves seals and clean everything up..

Tow the car to Houston and have someone work on it for you that have serviced 200s of S2000.

I had the same problem in my 01 that I had. You need to repin the 2 wire connector for the camshafts. Its at the back of the valve cover near the firewall on the passenger side of the valve cover. One of your wires is broken in that harness right at the point it attaches to the connector.

If you don't know how to do this your honda dealer will I'm told that its fairly common to have to repin a connector.... I did my own when I did it its not really that hard. I will try to find a link on how its done.

Good luck let me know if it works!

Edit: There are 2 sensors at the back of the valve cover, one for each cam . Mine was bad on the passenger side.... HTH

thanks a lot! I went to honda and they said that same sensor was bad. Funny thing is I measured the resistance and it was in spec. They measured it and found it to be out of spec. I swapped out the sensor for another one that is in spec. If I get another CEL in the next few days I will try this.
