Oh well, he is one man out of millions I can't compete with. He does appreciate the S2000 though. The first day I got it he asked me if he could drive it. He had a great time taking turns and made the comment that "the car isn't fun because it is fast, its fun because you can take turns at 50 miles/hour." I am looking forward to our annual track day. It will be nice to actually fit in among the Corvettes, Ferraris, and Porsches etc. this year.

Unless I didn't copy the video all the way to the end, the only thing the video proves is that the S2000 is ahead at the beginning and is still ahead at the end.

The S2000 made a big mistake(approached the turn in nearly the middle of the track) at the end of the long straight and lost all the ground he had on the Z06.

Please do not use the riceboy hp/ltr argument. That is a losing argument and means nothing. Hp/ltr is not a measure of a efficiency anyway, hp/unit of fuel burned is a measure of efficiency. I second:

Regardless, given the same driver the Z06 is worlds faster on the track.

argue and he will never agree to let his daughter marry such a schmuck, she will anyway becuase you a such a "man" by disagreeing with her father, he disowns her, and you will not get left his cars in the will....
This man is one step ahead of the game.

Those of you claiming rarity -- there are fewer Z06's produced each year than S2000's -- although I guess you can argue that the Z06 looks just like any C5 (to me it does not).
Oh wow. There were 1,000 less Z06's produced than S2000's for 2002. Damn than makes it so much rarer. And yes, the Z06 looks just like any other 2000 model FRC C5 with a little badge stuck on the side and different wheels.

Regardless, given the same driver the Z06 is worlds faster on the track.
Faster I agree. World's faster?? I think not. Then again it should be faster with a 5.7L engine. There's no replacment for displacement.

Please provide me with your list of inefficient sportscar engines producing more than 100hp per liter. Means nothing? I highly doubt every single review to date on the S2000 which included its hp/liter ratio included the disclaimer "please don't think of us as riceboys because we like the fact that Honda technology culled 240hp from 2-liters."
The Z06 is an incredible automobile but waiting for anything sweet from Chevy in the form of 2-liters...well, you might as well save yourself the trouble and buy one of these:

You can't win any argument with the older and wiser. When I was young and stupid at 19, I asked the great Bob Hoover if it was as hard to fly an unlimited airplane as it was to drive a racecar. By then I had done 2 ralleyes and 3 autocrosses, and of course was a magazine authority on all things automotive. He asked me to clarify my question. I said, "Do you have to have quick reflexes?" Hey, I thought this guy was ancient at the time, he must have been 52 or something. His reply, which humbled me at the time and has continued to do so today, was..."You're in a 60 degree bank pulling 6g's 50 feet above the ground going 600 mph and you hit the propwash from the guy in front of you. What the hell do YOU think?" I thought I should have kept my mouth shut. There is always somebody with more of something. Work on the daughter, say "yessir" a lot, and help her mom in the kitchen.
