Chrome rings inside the taillight are missing... That's not just suspiscious, but down right wtf. The taillight in the S is damn near impossible to open, according to people who've customized their taillights. What reason would they have to even open it? If the casing was cracked in the accident, you need a new light. They don't sell just the casing. Unless I'm mistaken and you did bring it in to get new taillights installed, I'd demand to know why the rings are missing.
The shop probably replaced the taillights with either the wrong year (MY 00 - 01) or they got some used ones and buffed em up real good. That is strange that they wouldn't let you see your car though... Makes me wonder if your car got vandalized or something while it was there (tires slashed) or something shady...

Unsure which body shop to choose when work is needed? Contact any local car club to get a couple of suggestions. This should give you a better chance of a good job than choosing a name from the phone book. Any shop that caters to car crazies has to be good.
Real car guys know where the good shops are in town. I have a shop I go to that is down right amazing, especially with color matching. I took a 14 year old Fiat in for some work and they matched it perfectly! Another car they did for me I kept for 10 years. Only in the last 6 months of ownership could I begin to detect where they blended the paint. I recommend this shop all the time and am amazed at the people that go somewhere else because it was closer to home, or their insurance agent told them where to go. Then they gripe about the way the car turned out.

Back when I was 18... I had my Z28 (go ahead laugh... yes it was a mullet car) painted at a good high end shop. The REQUESTED that I come in every couple days and check out my car. So I think, you have chosen a bad shop. Sucks...

I guess youll have to trade it in for a CR now...
