I was told that the Japanese really like the white and not as many whites are shipped to the US. I like white but I had to settle for red. I will probably paint mine in a few years. Funny thing is, the 2 meets I went to the whites outnumbered the reds. Silvers, yellows, and black cars are more common here.

White is actually easier to take of compared to a black car. Black cars will show every fault quickly, white cars will hide this more.
For example, you get a small stone chip, guess what you see on a black car...a white spot. So this on a white car would be more difficult to notice.
BTW, I also think you would be the first in the GTA with a white S .

I have an '01' white/red. White would not have been my first choice..."very hard to keep clean". Now that I have the white one I really like it and I am not unhappy with the color. I LOVE the red / black interior with the white.
Downfalls of white;
1) Stains very easily, must get wet leaves, bird doo doo, road grime etc.. off paint as soon as possible.
2) Rock chips appear gray, looks like you missed some dead bugs when it was washed.
3) Road grime, asphalt, tar....behind wheel wells and down the sides of car and back bumper.... little tiny spots that turn yellow as you try to wash them off, clay bar is the only thing that completely takes it off.
4) Any clear coat scratches turn a gray color ...very noticeable. Must use a tremendous amount of elbow grease to get the dirt out of the scratches.
As with any color there are pros and cons. If you keep up with keeping it clean especially behind the wheel wells, it's not too bad. Any other car I ever had regardless of the color... you still need to keep leaves etc... off the paint asap if you don't want to destroy the finish.
As far as it being a girl color .... thats BS ... yellow could be called that too. I would say Pink is a girl color.

I really like my 02 GP white/all red interior.. and since I was the 1st "customer" to sit in it right after it rolled off the delivery truck(watched it arrive on the truck) it's almost as good as ordering it from the factory...
