Also running Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 starspecs and have had no problems in the rain. In the 40 yrs(yea - old man) I've been driving rear wheel vehicles I've found that a good set of tires and a little common sense go a long way in keeping me out of trouble in the rain.

Sumitomo's HTR III. I love em. Can't beat the price for the value. No probs in the rain, but then again I am not balls to the wall when it raining out. Before that I had a worn rear set of stock bridgestone's that came on the AP2. Driving in the rain was REAL hairy!!!!!
Guys check your tires especially on the inside portion of the rears, they tend to get worn out the fastest because of the negative camber.
After the new set on the rears it was a world of a difference. I now have more confidence in the rain.

We had a torrential downpour here on Saturday and though I could have gone faster, my car felt fine at 50mph.
Due to a little frustration while trying to find my friend's new apartment, I got on it a little. I didn't notice a bit of slip at all. I repeatedly took it up to 5K+ RPM's many times to get a gauge on these tires in wet conditions.
Brand: Hankook Ventus HRII
Front: 215/45/17
Rear: 245/40/17

hehe. rain is rain, you gotta drive a bit more carefully, right? Just make sure the inner sides of your tire have tread (if youre dropped) and make sure you dont gas it /dump clutch into a turn....unless you want to go sideways.

Weak turning grip?

It could also be an alignment issue.
As far as tires go, the bridgestone 760s that you have on there should be directional and should have UNI-T rubber compounds (I used to work at a bridgestone dealer). So they should be very good in the rain unless they're completely worn out.
Check the parts of the tire that you can't see. The inside edge may be worn completely due to an alignment issue.
You could also have low air pressure.

Falken 452's pretty good tyre in the wet, and the same in the dry!! For me i don't really drive too fast or aggressive in the wet... it's far too easy in the s2000 to put out the rear end... jst tiny little bit of power on a corner and ya spinning

It doesn't matter much what brand of tire you chose, if you don't have deep tread, you will have issues. I've yet to have any concerns with good tires in the rain, but once tread starts to wear thin, say 5/32 or lower, the car will get squirrely at speed. You have to pay attention to your tires' health.
