your gas mileage with 100% highway driving
sorry guys, i'm just curious what your mileage has been on the highway. i have twice driven from DC to upstate NY there and back, and both times i barely achieved 25mpg. i wasn't even VTEC'ing at all, just cruising, but here's the thing...i cruise at like 75-80mph, and we all know that an AP2 runs at about 4,000 RPM at 75mph. that's pretty high. anyone cruise at 65mph and achieve something like 30mpg? i'm just curious, is all. i drove an RSX and TSX for about a year each, and both of their gas mileage ranges dropped to 21-23mpg in city/aggressive driving, but i could easily hit 30-32mpg on the highway. i think the RSX was around 3,400RPM at 75mph, and the TSX was probably around 2,800RPM.
with the S2000, my MPG only jumps from ~20-22 to 25mpg, and i'm wondering if it's because of me cruising at 75-80mph and the engine spinning at 4,000RPM+.
sorry for beating a dead horse.

WHY WOULD YOU CRUISE AT 4K RPM. Don't be like some ricer shit civic cruising at high rpm making noises. I mean don't you feel annoyed and bothered by the sound?

I cruise at 4k on the highway quite often. Last fill up I was at 26mpg with some city driving.
I took a roadtrip from St. Louis, MO to Destin, FL. I was at 30-34mpg.

well ur gas mileage is definitely quite low then. With countless threads about mileage posted, I've seen quite a few ppl getting 25mph with city/highway combined. I'm not too familiar with mp/h cuz it's km here but these ppl getting high mileage were cruising b/w 2k~3k rpm (since there's no boggling, it's all fine). 4k rpm sounds high for me though for cruising.

i am getting around 25-27 mpg with occasional boosting at around 75-80mph. It decreases exponentialy the faster you go though, so if you can keep the speed down, you should get better gas mileage! i remember doing 55 and got 32-34 mpg, but that was with my stock exhaust and not a 3inch single and ap1 intake cam.
