[QUOTE]I use Mobil 1, but we did see a very slight improvement with Royal Purple (2% typical).

I've got about 18,000km and I want to make a switch to either Redline or Mobil 1.
I've heard a lot good things about Redline Oil and I have a close friend with a highly modded integra equipped with a oil temp gauge and he says it reads one notch cooler with the Redline vs. Mobil 1 (not sure what the actual temp. is though) And here's another link I found regarding Redline Oil
http://www.c5-corvette.com/redline.htm
It seems like a lot of guys here perfer Mobil 1. Well there's another 2-3 months b4 the car goes on the road again. I think I would like to give Redline a try, even though its like double the price!

me and my roomate buy alot food from COSTCO every two week because we dont want to eat the food in our dinning hall

Anyways, I think most people are using Mobile 1 is because the reputation, that we know it cant went wrong by using Mobile 1. I am sure there are many other Engine oil are as good or even best than Mobile.

to tell you the truth, i have used Castrol SYntec and also Redline before, but now i switched to Mobil 1 because its the cheapest i have seen it at COSTCO and i really cant tell the difference between them all.
they feel the same to me, as long as the oil is new it should protect the engine.
