if you are young with a s2000 be prepared to pay, definitely a cop magnet. It just really sucks when you get points for a money maker ticket.

Color make a HUGE difference. I couldn't go anywhere in my Spa S2k without getting pulled over. Silverstone apparently blends in much better b/c I haven't had any problems.

i remember hearing/reading that silver was the 'least pulled over' color. don't know how accurate that is

in my berlina i've yet to get pulled over. when i got in my wreck 2 weeks ago i got a ticket... but haven't been actually 'pulled over.'

my personal take is that if you're paying attention, you'll spot them before they gun you seriously i've never gotten a speeding ticket in 6-7 years of driving and its not for lack of trying. i mean... i always obey traffic laws...

I'm a 40 year old guy in a Rio yellow stock S2000. They leave me and my mid life crisis alone. I have radar detectors in my other vehicles but haven't bothered with putting one in the S2000. I like the dash uncluttered.

Just think of all the tickets you should have got, but didn't, to make you feel better about this one.

Get a ticket attorney. Pacing speed isn't exactly accurate and doesn't hold up in court. I've had plenty of tickets in mine but i've had the car for 3yrs and the tickets were all justified... Just drive it like a grandma best way to save your car and your driving record. You can go nuts when you take it to the track..

If you think your right, go to court and argue your case.
These proceedings are very short and in front of a judge and generally only require your statement.
I hesitate to say that you have a 50/50 chance but you do have at least a little chance that the judge will agree with you.
Best case...the ticketing officer doesn't show up and case dismissed.

Only been pulled over once in the S2000, and it was all because a bored cop saw a young guy in a fast car.

Scene: Ocean Parkway, Long Island. Its a 55mph parkway that drops to 35mph as you approach a traffic circle. Construction was going on and the speed limit was restricted to 30, with State Troopers and Park Rangers lining the shoulders. I run the gauntlet at 30-34mph and a Ranger decides to pull out and follow me away from the construction site. Speed limit increases to 45mph - I accelerate and move from the soon to end left lane into the center lane. I flash my directional once or twice and move over. Without hesitation he lights me up, forcing me to pull over onto a grass shoulder.

Gives me a 5minute speech with plenty of sarcastic remarks about my use of the blinker. Because of the # of PBA cards I had in my wallet, and the fact that i knew I just used my directional to change lanes and pull over I nodded and smiled with a jack-ass smirk on my face till he left.

He followed me for about a half mile at <20ft, so I knew he was just waiting for the slightest misstep to act on, and I was happy it was for using a blinker at merging lanes, not the 100mph I did in spite of him 5minutes later. I've always known it, but he cemented the notion that I must pay attention to all details in this car to keep my license clean.

-Realized this is my first post at sk2i. I've been cruising the forum for months, thanks for the tips, tricks, and stories all. This is a great place.
