BMW, Mercedes, Jag, Snaab, POrsche, Audi, etc are snob cars.

You cannot be a snob in a honda.
One can be a snob without even having a car. It's not the car or other possessions that make one a snob. Being a snob is purely a state of mind, and there are plenty of guys driving Mustangs (as one example) that are more snobbish than some of the people who drive Mercedes or Jaguar cars. It's not what you own, but how you feel about it, that makes one a snob.

Looks like there are two definitions in that quote.

True snobs and poseurs.

It's a Honda. Any questions?
What about a Honda NSX?

What about a Nissan GT-R?

On the NSX, all of the owners I've met have been really cool. Also, you gotta admit that we really admire the NSX...sorta like the Civic guys admire our S2Ks.

On the Nissan GT-R...most of the 350Z folks I've met and tried to start a conversation with were not very friendly and many of 'em are not really true enthusiasts (Auto Tranny...c'mon). At any rate, the GT-R will be different...I'd surely view 'em as snobs 'cause I'm not a Nissan fan and the GT-R owners will probably have a sense of "I'm better than you" anyway...

Of course...me thinking that way...kinda makes me a snob. No?

i had a great civic.... i had a cool n360 too,

no i don't think so... a snob is one not willing to see another, but view's another as someone he / she must be better then... overall i've met more willing to see.. or meet on a common ground then not... maybe it depends on weither i am willing to see them...

I don't mean to suggest that someone who possesses an expensive item is a snob. I am just expressing that a prerequisite for snobbery of the affluent (ie. worldly possessions, or car, as in our discussion point) is owning something of affluence.

A Honda S2000 in no way indicates affluence, therefore does not qualify a person to be a snob (even if they wanted to be one).

A poseur? Most definitely.

Again, I am also not implying that an s2k owner is a poseur. Just that he can qualify to be one, if that is the path he chooses.

The survey would be more in touch with reality if the question being asked was "Are you a poseur" rather than snob. Owning an S does not give you the cojones to be a snob...you better have more to bring to the table.

My Honda minivan cost $5,500 more than my S (both brand new). How in the world can anyone be snobby over something that is cheaper than a minivan?

Word.

And, IMO, the two are mutually exclusive.
