Rick, have you made a steering wheel accessory yet? black w/ silver or black w/ red would be sweet.

if i had silver/black i'd definately go for a silver console cover or headrest.. but since i'm getting silver/red i don't think it would match well.. but a black w/ silver stitching boot i'd go for.

As for the headliner, the 996TT and the Audi S8 both have Alcantara headliners and they are really nice.
Rob,

you and me both. I thought of it after test driving the S4 last summer. I just didn't know that "cloth" was called Alcantara.

What did bug me though, was that the material seems to get dirty much more rapidly and is that much more harder to clean.

Rick,

I'm interested in seeing pics, or at least a mockup/drawing, of what a silver/black steering wheel would look like.

MacGyver,

My post in this thread may give some indication of what the silver would look like;

I talked to Townsend about Alcantara and real suede. They advised against it -- looks great when new, but evidently one of the greatest dirt collectors know to man .

Ok guys, silver it is and yellow or yellow accents. We'll post some more information in a few days.

BTW, I got the silver leather sample today and it's amazing -- looks very metallic but feels and smells just like Townsend's other leather. Who wants to buy the first conosle cover or shift boot in silver? We're ready to make 'em.

If you want to see the leather sample first, I'll send it to you. First to post gets first shot.

The alcantara comments from Rick make sense, especially considering the S2k is a convertible. In a closed roof car, alcantara is doable, but typically a roadster would collect more dirt and dust in the interior.

Good point, Rick.
