My question, too. Is this some color unknown to us?

For those interested in "Alacantara"....

This is what I found as the ultimate description for "Alcantara".....it is an 'ultra suede'.

Here's an example:

Look at the shift boots, I'm kinda interested in this material.

Yes, Alcantara is an artificial swede that is supposed to be more durable than the real suede. Audi and other manufacturers use it. On seats it is much grippier than leather and looks fantastic as can be seen here.

Definitely something to look into.

Nice, huh?

Rick,

I don't know if it was you or someone else I told that I was thinking of doing a royal blue accent treatment on the interior of my car, but this is a prefect example of what I may be looking for!!!

I think a treatment like this in yellow, or this blue might be a hot ticket, especially in the 'Alacantra' material.

Can we say driver's/passenger seat, steering wheel, e-brake handle, door inserts, door handle, and console cover exchange?

Oh yeah, one more idea, how about an Alacantra roof liner in matching color? I know, I know. . .I'm killing you here.

Alcantara is the same material found in the USDM Integra Type R seats... yes, they are grippy...

Uh oh,

I let the cat out of the bag. I was planning something like this for my future Stook. Should have kept my mouth shut!

As for the headliner, the 996TT and the Audi S8 both have Alcantara headliners and they are really nice.

I think black leather with yellow piping/stitching would look good on the console cover and shift boot. Yellow Alcantra seat inserts and yellow leather door panel inserts might look good as well.
