Wasn't there a sticky for rumors at one point? Anyway...

Posted on TOV Friday:

1)The S2000 got the greenlight from Management.

Mid-engine with the a version of the CTR Engine(higher revving than the one in the CTR) but with DCT and Electric Motor(low-end torque to solve turbo lag and fill in gaps in powerband) RWD.
Also I think they are trying to make it 2+2 seating.
Will be built in Ohio next to the NSX. Manual is at 50/50 odds at the moment.

People need to stop calling this the "S2000 replacement," it does nothing to replace this car.

I think what we've learned is, once we see it in a Superbowl commercial, we can expect it to actually be built. Until then, its just another rumor.

honda's coming out with a new s2000 in year 2017. you guys think this will make our car value depreciate rapidly like a miata? discuss.

i hope gets to building something exciting again. this may be a great car, im not dismiss it yet. however it is in no way shape or form a s2k replacement. and dont think there ever will be
