Duncan, that would be a great thing to have happen. Have a double blind test on the same car set up with the same identical suspension settings and components and the driver having no idea which runs (preferably around a road course) use the x-brace or not.

Just to clarify, I put mine on in winter and I didn't drive the car back to back. But I never felt any difference whatsoever...

I was at King Motorsports a while back and asked the boys there about it and they all agreed that it does nothing. But hey, what do they know?

Anyway, it would be cool to have a real test protocol done on this...to put the butt-o-meters to rest. It's easy enough to take off and put on...so just gotta find the folks to do it. I'm kinda busy...

I haven't tried a Spoon X-brace but have one of my Whiteline braces on my car and I can say that it makes a very noticeable and distinct difference. It is definitely not my imagination. My steering responsiveness is slightly increased. The car is less skittish on corrugated surfaces. The car goes where I point it on off-camber roundabouts and also drives straight with less effort (i.e. it tends to tram-line less). There is a marked increase in rigidity that can be felt quite distinctly by the driver.

Are lower suspension (or X) braces the be-all and end-all to front-end suspension and handling modifications? No they're not. My next step will be Whiteline sway bars.
