thanks for all the write ups and my pm's. you will be missed. i'm from socal myself and this whole situation is pretty retarded. really though, from 3 years of surfing the site i've seen a lot more of : personal attacks, rude statements, lack of respect and etc...

X-Viper, when I first signed up at S2Ki.com your feedback was always respected. You answered MANY of my own questions either by earlier posts or answering directly.

99.9% of people on this site really appreciate the time you spend educating us with your knowledge!

It would be too bad if you were gone for good as you have been the member who contributed most to the S2000 online community.

If you leave you will definatly be missed.

 

i understand where both sides are coming from, and i just feel like shit that things have to happen this way.

anybody should know that when a person finally "snaps" or "breaks down" it's most of the time from a series of things, not just a singular event.

over the past years even before i signed up on this board i've noticed more and more worthless posts and uselss arguments being made all over this board. it is really sad to see the MOST CONTRIBUTING MEMBER here finally fed up with the bullshit...

thank you xviper for all your help to me and to this community. you will certainly be missed. to me you are the voice of reason and logic on here, but some people just don't get it.

and to those who "dont care" or "dont give a shit", leave this thread and go attend other "priorities in your lives".

i stopped going to honda-tech as much as i did before because of stupid crap like this (the JDM madness was getting to me lol)... really is a loss when EVERYONE loses someone who can/has contributed so much.. i still dont understand why some people on here do not understand that if someone has contributed so much to the s2ki community that it IS a big deal if they leave.. its like losing ur car buddy/weekend mechanic because they moved away.. now ur left alone to try and trouble shoot stuff.. and that just plain sucks.. if it wasnt for the internet and informative/willing to help people like xviper then there is no way i could have learned as much as i have with working on cars.. id probbaly be getting raped at the dealership to change my spark plugs haha..

so to all those people that just plain dont care.. y post in here?.. get over it.. looks like xviper has..

xviper, I'm sorry to see you go, you've been a great asset here in this community. I've personally read though many of your DIY threads and used them in the past as well. This is a great loss to S2ki, as you helped to build this community.

I don't know if you care or not, but I just want to clear up a couple things before you go: I didn't make the signatures to make money. Charging was the only way I could slow down the number of requests I got for the signatures. If you think I made out like a bandit, you're mistaken. I could do the math, but I wouldn't be surprised if the "profit" from the whole fiasco net me less than $3/hour. You think I was in this for the cash? The entire amount of money I "made" is less than the amount I've donated to worthy S2ki causes in the past year. I'm not here to make money.

It's the internet, and people are going to take images when they want to. I accept that, that's fine. I have never complained to the mods. I have never threatened anyone. All I ask is that people realize that the images they see were actually created by someone. Do you really think I'm invoking copyright law? No. I'm asking for respect. It's not just for me. It's for ANYONE here who creates something- their work should be respected. I sincerely don't think this is that difficult to understand.

You don't seem to understand why I made reference to your stature and age on S2ki. Well it's because like it or not, people respect what you have to say. They recognize that usually you have something valuable to say. You might not care, but it's the truth. So your words hold more weight around here than someone else. I don't know why you thought this was a negative thing.

For those of you who think I'm that "jerk" who's young and disrespectful and picked up my S2k for $16k () well, it's easy to call names when you don't know the entire story, isn't it? Take xviper's side if you want, that's fine. But his seniority and his contributions don't give him the right to go postal on someone. So I stood up to him. Go back and re-read the entire thread without jumping to conclusions and tell me where I was out of line. Please, I implore you. You don't know me. Do you know Dave?

In the end, I would ask you to reconsider. But the sad part is that most likely you won't even see this post, as I like many others, have most likely been banished to your "ignore" list.
