How is your clear bra holding up? Any yellowing, cracking or peeling? Have any of you used Zaino over the clear bra and how does that look?

I've had the Xpel product on my car for 2 years now. It has taken quite a few really good rock hits. I'm glad I have it on. I've Zainoed it a couple of times but it really doesn't look much different afterwards. I'll Zaino it maybe once a year if I'm on a roll but certainly not every time. It has not yellowed or peeled. No complaints here.
ps. I installed it myself.

I remember Tanq had a GB going for the Stongard stuff a while ago. Several people were involved with that GB. Were they all disappointed with the product? I didn't hear what his problems were. Does anyone know? He hasn't been on the board for quite some time.
I do know about SCS2K issues.

I have the 3M Scotchcal on my car.. Granted mine car is only 3 months old. It's perfect. I have put 3 coats of Pinnacle wax on it.

How hard was the install? Did you get the front bumper kit and the hood and mirrors or just the bumper? The website shows the bumper install as extemely difficult.

OK, please, really. If you plan on getting it, get it installed by someone who knows how to install it. There's certain things that you'll need like soap and water and alcohol and water mixtures if you want to do it right.

Has anyone in the DC metro area done this? Where did you have this done and which brand was it? Are you happy with the result in term of look as well as protection? Finally, how much was it?

I am sorry for the many question. I feel that my beloved S needs somekind of stone chips protection.

For a person who is NOT a "handy kinda guy" this project is a definate NO!
If you do your own car work like "shadetree mechanic" stuff and you've got some experience with putting on decals and window tint, then on a "10" scale of difficulty, this project is about a 7 to 8. (It would be about a "15" if you're NOT handy.) You really do need to know what you're doing.
I have the front bumper cap, the hood, the 2 areas above each headlite, the mirror faces. And I did the headlights just from stock 3M and trimmed myself. Yes, the front bumper cap is the most difficult and the most costly if you screw it up.
ANOTHER WORD OF WARNING! The prices on these kits vary WILDLY for essentially the same coverage. DO YOUR COMPARISON SHOPPING! I've seen prices on this board ranging from about $300.00 to $1300.00 US. () for the installed kit. There seems to be tremendous mark-up on these things and after a certain point - NO, you do NOT get what you pay for.
The $300.00 was offered by another forum member but I haven't seen him around for a while. (He may have run into difficulties with the board admins with regards to selling his "stuff" on this board without proper sponsorship. I recall the "Stongard" that Tangueray and his GB was around $500.00. Typically, this "installed" kit around Calgary is going for about $500.00 - $600.00CAN. so do your math. The cost of my "pre-cut" material alone was about $300.00Can. They said they'd install it for another 100 bucks or so but I wanted to do it just for the experience.

I have the 3M film on, installed by the pioneers of this stuff in xviper's town

The stuff is great, no worries about chips and what not. It is too early to tell about yellowing but no peeling so far. I've used one coat of Zaino on it, and even after some salt blasting and winter weather driving, the water still beeds on those ares so all is good.

Unless your mighty crafty, I suggest you take it to a specialist, get some testimonials from people in your town first and make sure the place offers lifetime warrantee.
