XM vs Sirus radio; speakers
Does anybody have XM or Sirius satellite radio on their s2k? Does anyone have the headrest speakers? Any thoughts on not buying the headrest speakers and instead removing factory speakers & replacing with higher end?

I'm running a Kenwood Sirius tuner. It's awesome. It's wired into the aux input of my Eclipse HU. I would much prefer a more integrated solution, but I wanted the Eclipse and the Kenwood display blends in very well with the 04 interior.

Oh yeah- I've replaced the stock speakers with aftermarket Oz Audio speakers. I have 75 watts running to each. The improvement over stock is incredible. There is absolutely no need for rears or headrest speakers if you go this route, but if you don't want to run an amp I would highly consider rears or headrest speakers.

Removing factory speakers and replacing with higher end. Oh, these have 150 watts per side, not 75 like I said earlier.

I have a custom system with Sirius. It's a nice thing to have. I got a sweet deal because the receiver was free with my Clarion deck, so I just had to buy the antenna and service.
I don't have headrest speakers, as I've found that with good quality speakers and plenty of juice, you don't really need them.
Clarion 745 w/ Sirius
Focal 165KP with additional set of Focal tweeters
Audison LRx 2.250 (2x120w @ 4 ohms on mids/highs)
Custom fiberglass enclosure in tool well with 10" TREO sub
MMATTS 700x1 (for bump in my trunk)

Are you able to control volume from the controls next to the steering wheel or can you only control the volume from the Clarion/Kenwood radio itself?
I don't have this device at this time, so I only use my remote or the dials/buttons on the receiver.
If that is a concern, get the DCI device. Having an aftermarket head unit makes a huge difference in the quality of sound you will get, especially if you also upgrade the door speakers. It will make a difference even if you don't get an amp or try to run a high-end system.

I have the DCI. It's awesome. I find myself trying to go to the left of the steering wheel to turn up the music in my other cars!

Don't have satellite radio yet, but I just installed new 6.5" Infinity Reference 6002Si in the doors and driving them with only 50 watts x 2 rms (Alpine MRP-220T) and it sounds incredibly better than the stocks. Only spent $205 plus install.
