those don't look like X's
"X" is "Cross" abbreviated . It doesn't have to be literally an "ex". I have the MUZ lower front cross brace and I love it!

Kind of ressurecting an old post here but:

Comptech all the way, very low profile, doesn't interfere with oil changes, strong as hell, and light as hell, it just doesn't get better than that. When I got mine, I thought the box was empty because it was so light...would definatley reccommend...

Yeah, spoon.

Here's their new X brace:

And here's their more "bling" version of the X-brace and new strut bar:

I personally have Rick's. Build quality is excellent.

Spoon is also not bad either.

They are all going to do the exact same thing...make your steering more responsive, and your car a bit more rigid. Looks shouldn't be an issue since it's under your car. I'm willing to bet that not many (if any) have failed/broken due to routine street driving. So the bottom line might be VALUE and customer support. I would say that both MUZ and Rick's would be a notch above the rest in customer support. Last time I checked, MUZ was the least expensive...but I haven't checked since I bought mine. MUZ ROCKS!

Also, make sure it doesn't block your oil drain plug...it sure would be tough to take it off every oil change!
Good Luck,
Scott

I believe the Spoon one (what is the big f'ing deal with brand names?) blocks the oil drain plug. Nice engineering.

I agree with Nole, get the Muz.
