Which X-Brace

44Runner ...
While you've been busy slandering me anonymously with half-truths, accussations and misinterpretations I've been trying to work out who you are having never received the courtesy of a single PM from you.... ever.
Eventually I found your email correspondence to my export manager. Apart from being unpleasantly aggressive and hostile from the outset my female staffer also eventually had to ask you to refrain from using bad language.
Nonetheless she did everything in her power to help you but no matter how much she tried you wouldn't be appeased. An inspection of the brace was offered and replacement if faulty but you chose not to abide by the terms and conditions of purchase laid out on our site (the same T&C you read before purchasing).
I further noticed when perusing your emails that your original complaint was about a tiny fragment of welding flux apparently trapped inside your brace. While I recognise your right to complain and to request a return it's hard to imagine this making any noise when installed or that it affects the actual functionality of the brace in any way or makes a noise that can be heard when driving.
Despite never installing it, you now claim it looks like rhood's who actually jumped a kerb and slid along it with the entire weight of his car's front end on it bending his brace. How does your brace sustain this sort of damage sitting on the mantlepiece?
We can do nothing until you return the brace for inspection. I am reachable by PM if you wish to confer with me. I won't be doing it via this thread.

Does anyone have any pics of these installed?
One thing about the Whiteline brace design is that it braces both laterally and diagonally.

It makes a point about a general discussion I was having with someone about the misconception that welds are somehow the weakest apart of an item when in fact they are often the strongest.
Would you consider granting permission for me to add this image to my online photo gallery as it demonstrates the point perfectly? If not that's cool.

Having seen this pic much earlier on I have since tried searching for it many times without success.

My emails were never hostile, although certainly angry toward the end. I see a big difference between the terms.
If you have the ability to go back and look at all my emails, you can see that I did complain about the thing being dented, certainly not as bad a rhoods, but extremely noticable, however I blame that on the shipping company because I sure hope you didn't ship me a bent up bar as well as a rattling one.
Either way, I will send you a PM and hopefully we can work something out. When it comes down to it I just want to be a happy customer too.

Ok, I own a Muz (Whiteline) x-brace and feel the need to step in and vouch for Muz's excellent customer service.
I got the x-brace in a group buy. Unfortunately, it arrived missing 1 bolt. I don't blame Muz for this, it was an oversight by Whiteline (but still sucked)
Whiteline supposedly mailed out a replacement, but it was never ever received. I made a few complaints in the gb thread, and long story short, Muz spent a good chunk of his own change to send out a replacement bolt via expedited mail. To me, that's called excellent customer service and reflects a vendor who does what he can to make right a wrong (not even a wrong that he did).
The Whiteline brace is installed and I definitely *DO* feel a difference; the chassis is much tighter, and the car's turn-in is much more razor sharp.
Unfortunately, and once again this is no fault of Muz, in the end I thought that it was *quite* expensive due primarily to the weakness of the US$ compared to the AUS$, in addition to shipping costs. IMHO, I pretty much believe the Spoon x-brace would perform 99.9% as well, for significantly less $. (The Muz is nice in that it doesn't interfere with oil changes, even with my Fumoto valve installed.)
But I feel it necessary to make this point again: Muz's customer service is SECOND TO NONE. While I wasn't very happy with some of the foibles in getting all the necessary hardware for my x-brace, it was more the fault of whoever at Whiteline shipped out my x-brace, and in no way reflected on Muz. Muz just stepped in and shelled out his own cash to try to make this right.
And at no time was he ever anything less than professional. And from all the postings I've ever seen by or about Muz, my positive assessment of his character has remained.
So when Muz describes 44Runner's emails as less than polite, I tend to believe him.
And there's my honest $.02

So does anyone know the size of the 4 bolts the xbrace uses?
