Default WTF?!? My car just died!!!

Well, hubby and I took him out for a quik spin (we just got a G-tech programer and wanted to test out some times). Well, we finally got the hang of the g-tech and took it for a 1/4 mile run. Not bad at 15.4 with no launching and about 1 sec lag time. Trap was 97 mph. Well, we let off and turned down the driveway (not even 1/2 mile from start to finish) and it just died. Like it lost all power.

For some reason it died and no dash lights or anything was lit. Like we shut off the car (the green key was blinking). Had to turn the key off and back on to get it to start. This is one of the few times I have taken him to redline and he just died!!!

Now my car is only 4 months old and has 10K miles on him. Fully warmed up since we just got back home 20 mins prior. Why would he die like that? I'm just scared cuz my last car was a race car and I had to go through 3 engines in 3K miles. I dont want to do that again, expecially on a stock motor!!! The engine sounds normal but why would he die?!?

Now I'm scared to

so it died at high rpms or after you were done doing this? and it started back up and runs fine now? seems like you lost power to the ignition or something by the way it turned off and the green key was blinking....

I've read a few of these posts in the past year or so. It's an issue that has occured once for no particular reason, then miraculously went away. hope this is the case for you

Yeah, it happened after we were doing the 1/4 and we were about 1000 rpm's (idling down the drive way). I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the alarm or something to do with the S. We out an aftermarket Aladdin alarm on it and never had any problems before, and we have had these on previous cars too.

I think it is either the alarm, G-tech or the car. just to find out what one. Hubby is taking the G-tech to test on the truck (03 Sierra) so we will see if it has the same affects. Thanks guys

or maybe the car just stalled out due to the MAP sensor? ive never stalled my car, but if you stall it in gear or it stalls out, will all the power be off and the green key light blink?

Did you knees or anything accidently hit the key to shut off the car? I've heard it has happened to some members.
