I take it you bought it used. The previous owner might've removed the soft top and motor to save wegiht!

FAIL. I hope this is a joke. I'm half expecting him to find that there is no soft top at all and he actually has a car that's worth $2000 less in resale...

Ok, I'll bite. Button, as in circular thing usually "pressed/depressed" to elicit action? My car doesn't have one for the top, either...don't think any of them do(?). It's more of a lever type switch in a round housing, "flipped" up or down to control top. Did I get it right?;-)

It's a toggle switch.
As long as the wiring is in there, and the top is still all intact, I have a spare switch you can have for the cost of shipping if you want

^^^He posted a picture of it above, and even with the small size, from what I can tell it does not have anything there. It seems to be filled with a "cutout".

As previously mentioned, I bet that the entire soft top system was removed when the hard top was put on. OP, do you even have a soft top in the car??
