how... on.... earth, do you buy a convertible and not realize it has no soft top?!?!?!?.... please tell me you at least looked under the hood before you bought it? That thing could have a ford escort motor in it for all you know.

 

 

In defense of the OP, HT without a ST seems to be a pretty even tradoff as long as this was taken into consideration by the seller and the OP didn't overpay . The total cost of this car would have to be averaged with other '04s with simular milage and softops in good condition.
Not everyone needs a soft-top. I've had my HT two years now and it's been off my car once for seal maintanance then right back on.
So, (if I may ask), what was the price paid for this car?
