I pulled this stereo system out of the car today because I am not into that sort of thing(had an amplifier and all that jazz). Anyways, now my passenger side window will not work. The system in no way tapped into that circuit or anything. Of course, the thing is stuck down....good thing it is going to storm tonight (breaks out the tarp). Anyways, does anyone have any electrical schematics I can look at for the door assembly or anything involving the dash. The window has no function from the drivers side nor the passenger sid window ibuttons. Arghhh, btw, does the base warranty 3yr/36k mile stay with the car? I bought it used, I hope I don't have to fork out the $$$$ to fix the window should it be something bad. Oh, and yes, I checked the fuse.

 

(1) Are you aware that there is a switch on the driver's door that disables the passenger side window?

(2) If you took the door panel off, did you reconnect the window switch harness securely?

To add onto the door panel idea suggested by Karl O. I found that sometimes if you replace the door panel it can be a little off and therefore put pressure on the window not allowing it to roll up or down. To fix it, just take off the door panel and put it back on and make sure it doesn't block the window.

Don't feel bad. I had a buddy with the same problem on his Talon. Worst part was it was the middle of winter. He spent a whole weekend taking his damn car apart when he finally noticed the window lock button on the driver's door.

 

You took out your stereo because you didn't like it, or didn't want it?

 

Don't want it. Check the classifieds....the JL stealthbox with sub is spoken for, but my JL 300/4 amp is still up for grabs. I am asking $275+s/h for the amp, its only 6mo old. I autox and run track days a lot, music isn't that high on my list and the stock system more than satisfies me.
