Default WTF- fellow s2000 owners show no love

Ran into 3 s2000s today (usally see at most one a day) and unfortuantly i did not get a wave out of any of them, i slowed to let them cath up and waved, but nothing. I mean what is with that, i am a pretty good looking guy and a nice one at that, are some owners just mean?

Come over to Chicago and I'll wave to you. I recently saw a yellow MY01 owner and we both gave each other the knod/smile. I think it all depends whether the other driver is a car enthusiast or not.

Every S2000 owner I have ran into in Denver have given some sign of acknowledgement. Usually a big smile and "nice car" or a big

Most Hawaii drivers are cool too. I had a guy in a WRX pull up along side of me today and wave.

Yeah, I agree.... to some people, this is just another car to them <SHUDDER> Last week, I saw a yellow go by (top up, gorgeous weather ) , so I made a U-turn and weaved thru traffic to wave and say hello. When I got next to him, he wouldn't even look at me. So I beeped the horn, he looked over and gave me an embarrassed, half-hearted thumbs-up - probably just to get rid of me LOL

I wonder what the percentage of total S owners are registered here?

I typically get a wave or at least some sign of recognition out of most of the S2000s that I pass; even the TTs, Z3s, and Boxters.

But a couple of days ago, I was the first car in a turn only lane at a traffic light. The traffic from the opposing street was slowly turning in to my street just in front of me. The last car to make the turn was an S2000 absolutely identical to mine. Both of us had our tops down. I could have reached out and touched the other guy as he went by.

I don't know if he was so thrilled to be out driving his with the top down that he didn't know what was going on around him or what, but I received no sign of recognition back from him to my emphatic wave. Stunned I drove on when the light changed.

Such is life on the highways and by-ways in S2K land.

They were probably renegade S2000 owners. I've run into some myself. They scarey part is you can't tell them apart from the friendly ones.

Its funny about this topic too. I have seen a couple out while driving the "S" and after waving to both of them (1 was on 2 occasions) I never received a wave back. Weird, but such is life.

P.S. And Kwando, where did you get that drift clip with the Japanese boy on the tricycle? It kills me laughing hysterically every time I see it! Funny stuff man...

I just got my car last Saturday, and haven't seen any other S2000's yet. BUT, I've been getting waves from everyone else NOT in an S2000, hehe.

I hope when I do see another S2000, they are just as nice.

I get waves from just about everyone from Plymouth Prowlers to ZO6 Corvettes, and everything in between.
