04 could be out of warranty because it was purchased in late 03...given that we're in 07, that's more than 3 years.
i'd go for the color you want..if you want both colors, i'd get the 05 because it's just a newer car.

05. Conventional wisdom points to buying the most recent example one can afford.
It's still low mileage and has the warranty in case something is wrong, plus it's less money.

I tend to not agree with that reasoning. When I bought mine (an 02'), I first went to go look at an 03' that was the same color, same milage (approx.) and the same price. Thing was beat, and had been modded prior. I went with the older example and bought the one with least wear.

I would say the '04 since I lean toward the AP1's, but '05 is a better deal if it doesn't matter to you about the engine, transmission, and suspension differences.

22,000 miles is nothing on these cars. Why would you pay an addition $1,000 for a car that not only is out of warranty but is a year older as well.
