well if it has that many miles it is most likely highway miles... i dont think that would be that bad... what is the difference in driving all those miles in one year versus spreading them out over 4 years. just think about it like this. What would you pay for say a 01 with the same miles... then maybe add a little more and there you have your price for the 04. so if you would pay 16k for an 01 with 50k miles then your price you should be looking to pay would be 18k. This way you get the new style exterior plus you wont get that crap plastic rear window.

oh and just do an inspection. If the car is well maintained and not beat the hell down then the car should be still good to go. In a couple years when you sell it would you think someone would buy your car with say around 70k miles or an 01 with 70k miles....

Man that is a lot of miles for a 1 year old car. It had to be running more than stopped in that timespan.

If the price was right I'd go for it aslong as its in nice shape. Those have to be mainly highways miles and chances are they were pretty easy miles. I'd rather buy a car with 50k easy highway miles than 10k of hard-use miles. I test-drove one S with only 5k miles on it that was a complete piece of junk, the owner obviously beat the car. All I'm trying to say is there are other things to consider than just miles alone...after all, its just a number and doesn't really tell you much.

also!

Guys its a Honda not a Jaguar! Mileage should not scare you as long as the car has been maintained. There are plenty of guys on this board that have high miles and from the "I would not buy one with miles" says these guys car are worthless and many of them have the best examples on the board. I tip my hat to the guys who drive there cars and not just let'em sit there! I would much rather have a car with mileage and maintained then a low mile turd. Just do your research on the car! Good luck!
