Would it look OK with 18's without a drop?

Default Would it look OK with 18's without a drop?

I can't really make up my mind about what suspension to get for my s2000.

So I was thinking maybe I should pick up some wheels first. I had my eyes on a set of Volks TE37 or CE28 in 18" in gunmetal color.

Would the car look lifted or weird with the stock suspension?

Thanks

Any car with upgraded rolling stock in Plus +1 configuration is going to look "liffed" - this is a given.

Just a matter of what you personally like - some people actually like the 4x4 look so they can park close to curbs and not worry about hitting anything.

But in my opinion I would never drive any car at stock height - lowered my s2k a week after I bought it.

Pat is this you? You got an s2k? woohoo

Hey Rick

Yup, picked up an s2000 last week...

I'm probably going to lower the car first, but we'll see.

What suspension are you running?

I've got 18's and am not lowered (would rub like all hell). I've gotten used to it and the clearance helps. I'm thinking about getting some side skirts to offset the "4x4" look though...

I ran my 18" rims with stock suspension for about two months while I was waiting for coilovers and it does look a little too 4x4ish for my taste.

that is not true.. your offset/rim/tire width combo might be causing you the rubbing..
I know that's what would be causing the rubbing. The front offset is too aggressive to be lowered much.

I might run some minimum drop springs and dial in some negative camber and see how it goes. I run 225's front and 245's rear but I don't want to stretch the tires that much.
